Clarisse M. Kobashigawa

Inspired By the Best

Clarisse M. Kobashigawa joined Galiher DeRobertis Ono in 2010 and vividly remembers hearing about the unprecedented litigation that Galiher DeRobertis Ono was engaged in on behalf of Hawai'i's shipyard workers as she was growing up. The media on Gary Galiher and his firm's David vs. Goliath battle against asbestos manufacturers and other related industries that had the audacity to deny liability and knowledge was one of several motivating factors that spurred her desire to practice law. After spending several years in the Midwest, Clarisse knew that she wanted to focus her legal practice on helping those who have been personally injured by the negligence of others.

Compassionate and Committed

Her desire to work for Galiher DeRobertis Ono was cemented as she spent several summers interning with the firm while she was in law school. Now with her law degree, as well as her experience working in a Minnesota personal injury firm, Clarisse embraces the firm's compassion and commitment to their mesothelioma clients. She is eager to assist in all areas of practice, especially in the firm's key asbestos litigation. Clarisse finds her work very rewarding and personally fulfilling. She is thrilled to be a key part of our firm's team of attorneys who have a high standard of providing the best legal representation and obtaining the maximum recovery possible for our clients.

Background

Born and raised in Hawai'i, Clarisse grew up in Pauoa Valley. She is a graduate of Hawai'i Baptist Academy on Oahu and attended Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. She then attended Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she was a recipient of the Thurgood Marshall Scholarship and also received the CALI award for the highest grade in UCC 9: Secured Transactions. It was always Clarisse's intention to return home to Hawai'i and she says that helping the people of Hawai'i through Galiher DeRobertis Ono is a dream come true.
